I have a batch of 1500 raw files to process, and a lot has changed since I last went through the manual section by section.
With a bit of time on my hands on the flight back to London, I would like to refresh my understanding based on the draft manual for 4.8 but I’m damned if I can find it on github.
This repository tracks the current darktable development version. The auto-built website for the development user manual can be found at https://darktable-org.github.io/dtdocs/en/
Not many changes have yet been made to the user manual for 4.8, mostly because I still seem to be almost the only person writing content for it, and I have been busy with other things.
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage people who develop new features for darktable to also consider writing manual entries for those new features. I know the coding is the fun bit and documentation is boring, but you’re really best placed to be able to write at least the first draft of the manual entry. Don’t worry if English is not your first language – any content is better than no content and I will always review new submissions before merging and likely copy-edit afterwards.
