Loch Faskally, autumn colours

Flat grey sky as we wandered down to the market, so I didn’t take the camera. We walked down to the loch to find it flat calm with the cloud just starting to break up. I rushed back for the camera and managed to get this shot.

A beautiful autumn scene. However, I felt that the large black object was a major distraction and it had to go! I also reduced the impact of the other barrier and the yellow floats. Removing them entirely might have been going too far. Slightly more panoramic aspect. All done in GIMP after Filmulate with default settings.

Yeah, I couldn’t find a way to make it work either but went the other way and made it a 1:1 crop.

Anyway, beautiful image @epeeist, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing.

Also had a little edit fun using Krita:

GIMP 2.10.28-LAB

I don’t have time today …have to work some days  I wonder about not cropping but trying to heal it out in the foreground so that you don’t lose so much of that nice reflection in the water…maybe it would be tough to hide but likely worth a try…

My try, on dt 3.7.0 beta
Thanks

Fantastic images. It’s ages since I’ve been up that area!
