Logitech Creative Console - Initial thoughts

Spent an inordinate amount of time mapping darktable to the Logitech Creative Console. I love darktable’s extensibility, and wanted to see if I could make a set of mouse ring commands to cover all the Key modules.

Mapping sliders is a bit cumbersome, as you have to create individual shortcuts for Up/Down [unless I’ve missed something]. With a midi device, you can just map a slider/nob, and it figures out the rest.

I already use an extensive collection of keyboard and mouse modifiers, combined with the clever fallback option, but having visual prompts and the tactile wheel is good for my aging brain.

If anyone else took the plunge with this hardware, I’d be happy to share my Shortcut Configs for Dartable & The Logi Wheel or share thoughts…

What I’d like is the freedom from the scratchy ordeal of scrubbing siders, rather than looking at the subject!

You should use the mouse wheel. Up on the wheel goes up, down on the wheel moves down. It is awesome.

I use the mouse & wheel extensively for many commands. But with the Action rings ,you can use the mouse wheel to control many silders, all those dots on my picture can be scrolled with the mouse wheel, and don’t need hand contortions to reach :slight_smile:
