Four shot panorama stitched in Hugin. Final edits in Darktable (mostly to make the gravestones pop).
Shot with an Olympus E-M1 mkii and the 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens at 12mm, f9, and ISO100. I used a SunwayFoto Nodal slide on a tripod to help align the images.
I like this! The tree silhouette is striking and you’ve managed to keep some nice detail in the sky. Then my eye wanders around the grave stones, I like the hint of light on the tops of each of them.
Thanks @afre! This is at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery out on Point Loma here in San Diego. I know this cemetery very well, as my grandparents are buried there. Right under this very tree, in fact. It’s a very beautiful location, facing out over the Pacific…
Thanks @paperdigits! I used several drawn masks in order to separate the sky from the foreground and treat them separately. Mainly just used the tone curves for each area…
