Luminance HDR cannot read DNG from HDRmerge

I wanted to tonemap a HDR file from HDRmerge.
So I opened the “Open HDR image” window and selected the HDR image.

Luminance HDR complains with warning:

Luminance HDR does not support floating-point raw files. Use RawTherapee to convert the floating-point DNG to TIFF, then process that in LHDR.
