Mac MoJave Pictures Not Showing in File Menu

@Snoop832

I tried both ways and nothing shows upā€¦ In the upper left hand corner it says File Browser 0 but if I choose a different folder outside of Photos folder it shows and the amount of items. It just doesnā€™t want to show anything from my Photo Library.

Arenā€™t the image files supposed to be in one of those subfolders?

Every single one of the subfolders are empty shows 0

Is it a permissions issue?

I remember it asking me and I hit yes to allow

47%20PM

The folder you have highlighted itself should not contain any images. You need to navigate to where the images are, in Masters, organized by year, then month, etc. It should not be any permissions change neededā€¦
for example, iPhoto\ Library_2/Masters/2015/02/14/20150214-125523/IMG_4563.JPG

@Snoop832 furthermore, donā€™t crop your screenshots. We need to see the whole RT window, not just the part you think it relevant.

Hello Everyone,
Sorry for the late reply but the new user limit was reached yesterday so I could not respond. I was on the phone with apple support about the issue with access files from photos and apparently that is something new. I tried every free photo editor program and I have no access to photos. If I made a separate folder and photos in there it would work just fine. So for sh!! and giggles I re-installed the OS twice and itā€™s the same thing. I actually found an article put out by apple regarding this. It was published on Dec. 18th. I canā€™t believe Iā€™m the only one having this issue or what ever it is. Iā€™m running version 10.14.2. Thanks Andy and Merry Christmas

What is the problem, I have not seen any erroneous program behavior reported here yet! You went to a folder with no images and complained no images showed upā€¦ No problems on macOS 10.14.3Ī².18d32a.

Here is an example of viewing a folder of images within a Photos library:

Testing latest RT development:

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! :grinning:

Not sure why no one has complainedā€¦ I have a new Macbook pro new install not sure. The problem is not just this software itā€™s all of the 3rd party photo editing softwares Iā€™ve tried. All I can say the Final cut pro works like a charm go figure. I also notice in Security / Privacy section access to photos folder nothing is there except for Final cut and there is no way to add a program to it. I would think if you had access prior to updated version you would not be affected maybe just new pc / installs. I donā€™t know Iā€™m thinking out loud. Thanks

You need to run RT and try to access the photos library, it will request access, and once you allow it, the icon will show up in the security>privacy settings.05%20AM

I thought Iā€™d install the version before but no surprise it didnā€™t work. I did check privacy area and it is listed there. I also made a new photo library and added a few pictures but that didnā€™t work neither. I swear I wish I had another Mac to try it on. Iā€™ve went through everything and itā€™s all good. Iā€™ll keep searching online. But for now donā€™t knowā€¦ LOL

FYI, I would like to add adobe rush doesnā€™t work neither. It doesnā€™t have access to photos.

Hello Everyone, Good news!! I didnā€™t give upā€¦ I waisted hours trying to figure this sh!! out. Even Apple couldnā€™t help. I found an article about photo library on how to do a repair. So I did and bam it worked. I have no idea what happened so donā€™t even ask Iā€™m not new to Macs so basically if anyone has this problem keep this in mind. Know the only thing I have to do is learn this program.

A big thanks to Hiram for trying to helpā€¦ Kudos! But thanks to everyone that has posted.

Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll be back here with questions but for know Iā€™ll take it easy. Thanks again Andy.

Happy New Year!!! 2019

Photo Library Repair

YES this is happening to me too. Everyone says to fix in permissions, that does not work. Should I install an old RT then install the new one again?
