Great! The sky color works well since there’s already red in headlights and bricks. Plus you can see what looks like wet spots on the brick from the rain now. Thanks

Colin,

I didn’t bother with a tonemapper since this is from film. Added some diffusion (stronger in the reds but also overall). Rotated colors a bit toward “orange and teal;” I hope I didn’t overdo it.

This was a negative scan - but it showed up in color. I had been hoping to try negadoctor for the first time… I guess I’ll need to wait for that.

Nice photo!

Interesting photo. We were in Moncloa briefly in 2023 to take a bus to El Escorial. We just took a cab from our AirBNB in Las Letras, and all I remember of this area is the bus station. What is the area like? Any good restaurants or interesting things to see?

Nice! The photo’s 22 years old now that was the last time I was there as a student abroad. I would take the subway to moncloa each day because that’s near where I had classes at Universidad Complutense. My favorite place was the Retiro park. I also went to Escorial one afternoon but I took the train from Atocha. Thanks

After balancing this to taste, the noise was horrific so had to blur the bejesus selectively at places that made sense. Not my best result, but I’m pooped and will have to force myself to bed soon before tomorrow’s shift since I’m forced to lose an hour of sleep because the government won’t do the right thing. lol

Fun play! I am not sure I am doing anything new, but I did find things easier using the tone curve module instead of tone eq.

Y’ll may know, or not, that I like a story… well I’ll lay it all out there for you: I fell in love in Madrid… Girl on a moped at a street crossing… never saw her again… Always remember her, always like Madrid.

Another round. Used all those modules that should be removed

Do you have the actual negative before inversion? I wanna see the base so I can see exaclty where you’ve come from. The blacks and whites are both clipped a bit in this original.

I went for something more intense by masking the sky and upping velvia.
