with all the machine learning powered image editing things coming up in commercial tools?
and maybe we want to have the tooling to also enable that in our tools.

I’m leaning into no as I prefer less access to AI art. I think there are legitimate applications of AI though.

Yep, completely valid, lots of AI uses for artists without going into image generation… Upscaling, denoising, interpolation, sharpening, etc. Would be a shame for FOSS to ignore this front and remain behind.

Stripping the AI buzzword leaves dedicated hardware to do certain matrix/tensor operations fast, if I am not completely mistaken, no?
