Making a noise profile for GFX100S

Hello,
I’m trying to make a noise profile for the Fujifilm GFX100S. I have taken a series of pictures using the info given in PIXLS.US - How to create camera noise profiles for darktable
I ran this in terminal :
/usr/local/libexec/darktable/tools/darktable-gen-noiseprofile -d $(pwd)

So far, I have this :

===> Check for required tools
→ Check for images handling tools availability
→ Check for images export tools availability
→ Check for profiling tools availability
→ Check for tethering tools availability
→ Check for pdf tools availability

===> Check profiling directory

===> List profiling input RAW images
→ Found ISO 100 image: /Users/nick/Pictures/noise/DSCF3701.RAF
→ Found ISO 125 image: /Users/nick/Pictures/noise/DSCF3702.RAF
→ Found ISO 160 image: /Users/nick/Pictures/noise/DSCF3703.RAF

The script will use existing input RAW images for the profiling. No more
shot will be taken.

Not sure what to do now. Not sure the raw files I took are adequate for the tool either.

AFAIK, there are still some doubts whether 14b vs 16b modes are handled properly on the GFX series, but that should be resolved soon (by dt 4.4 most likely). Were you shooting these and creating the profile at 14b?

Also, what version of the tool are you using? There was a problem with it before (please make use of the forum search facility), but should be ok from dt 4.2 and on master today…

I’m on 16 bit lossless.
Not sure how to see what version the tool is.
Moving --apply-custom-presets false as stated in How to create camera noise profiles for darktable - #205 by inquisitivepanda has unblocked the situation. Thanks for pointing out the thread, I would never have found it.

I’d redo these at 14b for start, and check if the profile works for both modes.

Here is a noise profile I came up with. Seems to work ok.
Download and give it a go if you want to try.
