Manual focusing - The LordV method

In order not to hi-jack another thread, I tell about The LordV Method in a new one, i.e. here:

His nick is LordV, IRL it’s Brian Valentine and he is an avid fan of Terry Pratchett (hence the LordV nick). He is also a skilled macro shooter and four years ago, I sent him a fan letter:

sway-like-coming-out-from-the-pub
focusing method, my skills took a giant leap!

Sway-like-coming-out-from-the-pub is the key phrase, i.e. set focus to manual, go to the pub, come out, and sway. When sharp in the view-finder, shoot!
