Masked out area

Hi All, I am trying to change how dark is the masked out area when I am applying a crop.

I want to darken the crop out area so I can better visualize what the final image looks like.

For some reason - I can’t recall how to do it and the correct word how to describe it is escaping me.

Can somebody point me in the right direction please?

Are your referring to the area outside the crop box??

Yes - correct.

You are going to have to modify a component in css…not sure which one …or maybe use a different theme that is set to be darker…thats at least what I think you need to do…

Didn’t make a difference.

I really think there was something in darktable.rc but can’t recall what it was.
