Messages on screen

Hi.
I’d like customize messages on darktable screen.

  1. I use dt.print() to write temporary messages in the middle as attached picture, but I can’t manage when it can disappear.

  2. I’d like customize messages in the bottom on the left (as highlighted in blue) about modules operation: can I by a function?

The docs for the darktable lua interface are here, darktable lua documentation - Home

In master the toast and hint messages are accessible. Writing messages to random parts of the UI is not supported.
