Meteora, Greece landscape - trying to improve my edits

I love this crop, but saving it as PNG is a bit too much

Very nice. Love the foliage tones. Do you use the film/print gamma factor for the high contrast look?

Love the color on this and I think the grain really works with the high contrast foliage

I haven’t tried Spektrafilm but I think that also might help with my issues with the photo. I think I struggle with the harshness of the trees and overdulled them in my edit.

This is my versions. The heavy lifting is done with the LUT “classic neg” from: GitHub - abpy/FujifilmCameraProfiles: dng / dcp camera profiles and LUTs to match film simulation profiles for fujifilm x-series cameras · GitHub

I feel very guilty sharing another take but this was the gold200-SupraEndura version from spektrafilm. I did this first because the moment I loaded the RAW file into darktable, those trees made it clear that I would have to do something about it and I took the shortcut of using spektrafilm which fixes all these issues simply because of the way it works.

It could be the trees, the sensor or something else but I have seen similar stuff with Sony quad bayer remosaic. it causes worse worms although this is different.

also compression somehow made the sharpness come back : (

Thanks! I didn’t use the gamma factor, the kodak endura premier is very contrasty as is, i boosted a little the saturation with the inhibition couplers amount
