Missing Some Filters in Vs 2.4.5

Have some cools filters been removed from the latest version of g’mic?

I can’t find Graphic Boost, Graphic novel, Posterize (Dither) and I and I think Photography smoothing filter I think it was.

How can I rollback to a previous version? And perhaps its worth mentioning that I recently upgraded from Ubuntu Studio 18.04 to 20.04. And also upgraded Gimo from 2.8 to 2.10.

That is when, when I updated g’mic - I couldn’t find the filters (perhaps more) mentioned above.

Were they removed on purpose?

These filters haven’t been remove.
Your issue is probably due to the fact you didn’t get the latest filter updates, for one reason or another (this should have been done automatically when running the plug-in the first time).
Are you behind a firewall or something similar ?

A “manual” procedure to update the filters is possible : grab the file https://gmic.eu/update294.gmic (replace ‘294’ by your G’MIC version number), and copy it in the G’MIC resources folder, which should be something as:

  • On Unix-based OS : $HOME/.config/gmic/
  • On Windows : %APPDATA%/gmic/
