Oh yeah you are right. Sorry about the noise. …
It’s not noise. You found the problem!
I am not so sure, I actually just installed darktable on my local windows machine to C:\_test\darktable and cannot reproduce the issue.
Still an install under C:\ might be worth a shot.
Scrolling up, it seems like just a forum display issue. The original string was not in a code tag.
I uninstalled darktable and re-installed it in C:\Program Files, which is the standard place wit Windows. Unfortunately the issue is still there. The log file contains following lines :
8.5795 LUA INFO: callback: finished processing scripts
8.7051 LUA lua dir is C:\Program Files\darktable\share\darktable\lua-scripts
9.0078 LUA ERROR : Invalid index for combo box : 1
I think I’ve finally solved my problem. It seems the issue stemmed from an incomplete Windows Registry cleanup when uninstalling Darktable. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered this problem, though I had forgotten about it. So, I used a more effective uninstaller tool (I used Revo Uninstaller, but others exist); these programs don’t just remove the software from “Program Files” but also delete all traces of it—especially from the Registry—which the standard uninstallation process in Windows settings fails to do (or does only partially). After subsequently reinstalling version 5.60, the Scripts module appeared correctly following the first image import.
I wonder whether the Issue discussed in this thread is actually the one reported here.
