I ran a mono preprocessing script for the first time, following a Deep Space Astro tutorial on Youtube. In the tutorial, when you open the resulting .fit file, and autostretch it, it shows a color image, and there is an RGB tab in upper right, along with the R, G & B. When I did it, and hit autostretch, I got only a B&W tab, and the image is black and white.
My files were mono, L, R, G, & B. Where is the color??

Unfortunately, I’m not a Siril user and cannot help you with more. Hopefully someone knowledgeable will see it. Good luck!
Thanks @kofa and @Claes! @dixiefla you have mono images and you expect them to be displayed in color? If you run the mono processing script with mono images, you will only get mono images. Probably the tutorial you are looking at mentions a color recombination step, similarly to what you can find in the tutorial: Siril - RGB composition
Well, yes, as a beginner, I did, because Siril was supposed to register, stack them and combine them. The tutorial I watched must have been from a color camera without my realizing it. I’ll go back to APP, which works, and maybe experiment with Siril some other time.
Deep Space Astro is my channel and the video you’re talking about is for images taken with a color camera. I don’t yet have a video on processing mono.
