Mono processing

Any advice on how to process mono on Siril?
I have some h alpha, SII and O pictures .
Do I stretch them separately and combine as rbg ? Which colours do I apply the sii o and h alpha to ?
It’s my first time trying to do that .

People do it both ways, and which is best seems to vary somewhat with the subject. So far (and I am new since June) I have preferred to stretch the images in mono and then combine. In almost all cases, I like to use Starnet++ (which integrates into SiRil) to separate the stars from the nebula before stretching. It seems much easier to get the stars right and the nebula right that way. The standard combination is exactly like the acronym SHO > Sii to red, Ha to green, and Oiii to blue. I quickly switched to pixelmath for blending so I can try different blends to change the emphasis on various colors. For that, pixelmath is not to intimidating,

Hi, this is indeed a complex topic. I would say, for colour combinations that don’t have a luminance image, no need to pre-stretch them. Please look at our tutorial on the matter: Siril - RGB composition
