I would like to see a tool for doing mosaics like PixInsight have “MosaicByCoordinates”.
Is mosaic in a plan for future releases?

Quick ‘n’ dirty: this is two square images stitched together.
First I used Global Star Alignment with “Save transformation in seq file only”, and rejected the bad subs. Then I used “apply existing registration” with the “maximum” framing method. Needed to trim away some stacking artifacts at the edges and fix a bunch of nasty gradients but this worked better than I would have expected. No idea if it’ll work for bigger mosaics.
Even more stitching together. Again I’m surprised that it worked. The key was to find a center frame that had some overlap with any other panel.
