Need help with stacking color fits

Hello,

I just for a 178MC color camera… and got a series of .fits files.
I can open a single file using the open dialog box and click on debayer and see a color image…
However, when I try to work on the sequence, it always shows bayered B&W images (when I zoom on them, I see the bayer matrix)…
Stacking does not work well either :frowning:

So, what is the trick in using color in siril?

Thanks,
Cyrille

Hello, you can include debayering at the calibration step, there is an option to do it there. It’s normal that sequences are displayed in CFA mode.

:frowning:
Ha, but I have an issue… I did not take any calibration data…
I was just doing a first test and I do not have any darks, flats or biais…
So I was not using this step…
Is there a way to still debayer without darks/flats/biais?
Or maybe I should create an empty biais, but I do not know how to do this…

Cyrille

So convert your files by checking the debayer option in the conversion tab.

Hello,

So, convert from fits to fits?

I will try, thanks for the tip.

cyrille

Yes, because you convert from FITS CFA to debayerd FITS.

Hello,

Thanks, I got it working…

One more question, My end image has these small R G or B lines… Is there a way to remove them?

Thanks again,
Cyrille

Yes. Shoot darks and subtract them.

It’s great you’re trying to learn to preprocess and stack manually, but did you know there’s a script for Siril that will stack only lights frames automatically for you? Stacking in Siril: A Guide to Stacking Only Light Frames - YouTube
