How can you mimic a black and white darkroom workflow with Negadoctor? In darkroom you have only two variables to play with: a paper grade and an exposure. In contrast Negadoctor always applies a film contrast compensation curve too. It gives more flexibility but sometimes I want something as simple as this two variables control.
You are not in darkroom and your film has been scanned by a third device and needs to be inverted without creating negatives, so you need to adjust Dmin and Dmax whether you like it or not, because nothing guarantees your scanner did it for you properly.
It’s as simple as it can be.
