I estimate that in the past year there have been upwards of 12 new raw editors.
Can these be added to the Software page perhaps with their own title?
Also I can’t see ART or vkdt on this list of available software.

Or perhaps wait a year or so to see if those projects are maintained and perhaps evolve over time? Starting such a project is one thing, keeping it going quite another…
Btw, ART and vkdt do show up on this page, but the order on that page depends on the last posts in each subject (afaik)

I just think that a link on the software page keeps it looking fresh and also gives support to these new projects. If they fail then it’s not difficult to remove the link?

As the creator of one of those new raw editors - I kinda understand why they aren’t all added. For open source it’s hard to know what will trend and be maintained over time.
That said, I’d be very thrilled if HDR Finisher was listed.

Maybe it might be good if the developer asks as it might show some intended support for the development going forward.
BTW, is ART still being developed? I haven’t heard much mention lately of ART.

Thinking about it, Pixls.us is predominantly a darktable technical forum these days with a sprinkling of playraw.
Hence my request for a new software section. This site has not changed since day one and I have no idea who maintains it.
Does it need a revamp?

Art used to be mentioned a lot more here with the developer adding new features and improvements. I just haven’t heard of any further work on the software lately. I hope it is still progressing.

Do not worry about ART not progressing.
I recall it being originally a fork for @agriggio’s personal dev and use. As long as Alberto has use for it, it will probably continue to be developed.

ART continues to update, the latest version is 1.26.9, where 9 stands for September. There’s too little talk about it, right. It’s also true that it always works without bags and without problems and this doesn’t give reason for discussion. Let’s just hope Alberto doesn’t get tired of keeping it.

if you don’t provide the links and highlight these programmes then people can’t try them and possibly adopt them and then they have very little chance of succeeding.

Why not? They are announced here and they are open source. No one is barred from trying each and every one of them, just because they are not listed in everywhere.
While I watch many of these raw editors with interest, I think it is OK to wait a year or two before recommending them to a general audience. The early adopters pick them up anyway, and those who open a topic here announcing their new raw editor get feedback and bug reports.
