This is of course a parody, but neural (“AI”) compression does exist. A 1:34-long song in 21 kB, about 3 kbit/s, fits in 8 QR codes. At 1.5 kbps, it’s still recognisable.
This in fact has the same issue: not including the size of the decoder. I can compress Wikipedia to 1 bit if you let me omit the decoder.
Another issue is that there is no guarantee that the autoencoder will work for every (or even most) songs.
