Why does enabling LAB-colourspace modules sometimes have such a detrimental effect on colours? I haven’t noticed it happening myself. I’m on an sRGB workflow using Pentax RAWs, in case that’s relevant.

Good question. Hopefully it is a colorspace conversion thing and not a bug.

It has to do with “unbounded colors” that are outside of a specific range. You can read about it in the darktable manual: http://www.darktable.org/usermanual/ch03s02s10.html.php#unbounded_colors

Excellent videos.

I have been using Rawtherapee as my RAW editor of choice, but have just edited a few images in Darktable as I was having problems removing some colour noise in RT. No noise in the DT edit !

Also the mono wheel with the filters is awesome !
