I’ll check to see what I downloaded but it was just within the last 2 weeks.
When follow your link, it takes me to 0.19
3 Flathub but doesn’t show a download here. What am i downloading?
What Linux version do you use? If Ubuntu/Mint, a deb package would be better (FlatPaks have all kind of security settings that can get in the way).
Oh, you wrote you use Windows:
Can you tell me where I can download this program for Windows?
Then FlatPak is not for you. Why don’t you use the Microsoft Store for Windows (screenshot from this page: https://krupkat.github.io/xpano/
)?
The fixed installer was released today. So you have probably downloaded the version with the bug.
I’m on Windows

Ok. Ill try that this weekend and let you know. Will it write over existing or do i have to uninstall what’s on my computer now before I install new version?
Thank you
It should install over existing installation.
But if you want to be sure uninstall first the older version and then install the new one.
I find Xpano can often stitch things that Hugin cannot or makes difficult.
For me it’s vice versa.
Xpano is a “hit or miss”. I can not influence or fine-tune the result.
Hugin may need some more experience, but I can influence many steps and fine-tune also difficult panorama.
Hugin and Xpano are kind of complimentary: some complex panoramas that were very difficult to stitch with Hugin were easily stitched with Xpano, but sometimes Xpano produces some stitching artifacts that you cannot correct, while Hugin’s complete suite of tweaking tools allows you to acieve a perfect result.
Just downloaded the new version but Microsoft won’t let me install at all. Only option shown is “Don’t Run”
Strange , usually you can ignore that and install anyway.
I finally was able to install it think the update. Had to install the one I downloaded a few weeks ago then the update from the other day. Still don’t fully understand how it works but will keep at it. It also still shows something not optimizing during the blend.
Another question which you might know, after you get the panoram complete how do you know what size paper this can be printed on?
I had to reinstall the one I downloaded a few weeks ago, then when I went install it still said “Don’t install” but then also gave me the option to install. The “About” doesn’t appear to show the update version.
Still a few questions and issues but we’ll keep working at it.
Most printing apps allow you to preview and adjust your print according to the paper size. It might crop or reduce the photo size so it fits the paper size.
You should remove the app from the “apps & features” panel in Windows , then reinstall to make sure nothing is conflicting.
So I should go to the Control Panel, and where I see programs, uninstall from there?
The first time I Uninstalled when I went to the windows icon and went to All and then under Hugin, right clicked and uninstall.
Just want to be sure.
Thank you
Yes i contacted my printing app connection and they told me how to add a paper size that will allow me to print the entire photo.
Thank you
That worked well. Once I deleted through apps, I had no error message Do Not Install.
In help it shows 2024.0.1.ead3af10a01a.
The files installed was Hugin-2024.0.1b-win64.msi
Thank you
