I have the latest version installed but everytime I start the program it shows the there is a new version window. I have tried to reinstall several times, including uninstalling and reinstall, same issue.

Yes. You don’t have RC1. Please, show a screenshot of the whole app.
I’ve also experienced this and I think it came from the fact that the ‘update link’ is going to the wrong version download. Once I manually opened the website and downloaded the rc1 version all was fine
