Hi! I have been trying to get a Raw Therapee workflow for my Nikon Z5. There is no built in DCP input profile for this camera, so I got a Spyder Checkr 24 color card and made my own dual-illuminant profile using Lumariver Profile Designer (which looks great).
However, the RT white balance settings don’t work properly: if I set a daylight photo to “Daylight (sunny)” white balance, it takes on a weird green color cast. "Pick"ing my own white balance from a white object in the scene works fine. If I run a NEF file through Adobe DNG converter, the white balance settings work fine – the issue is only with the NEF files.
Shouldn’t the white balance settings work correctly on a NEF file (without DNG conversion) using my custom input profile though? What am I missing? What is the difference between an NEF file and a DNG file when in both cases I’m using my custom input profile?
Hi! I am using RT 5.8 on Windows, downloaded it from the RT website recently.
Is there a Windows distribution of any more recent development version? I am willing to try compiling from source too (I am a software engineer by day).
There’s no fixed date as of yet, but there does seem to be some progress on that front: Roadmap for v5.9. It is rather slow going, though. The downloadable developers versions are stable and better on many fronts (bug fixes, added support, new functionalities) when compared to the “old” 5.8 version.
You mentioned downloading build 2983, that one is out of date too Recent development version right here:
Linux (don’t use this link, it is stuck/broken at the moment)
