Hi there,

I’m trying DigiKam, and I noticed that the previews look fine, whereas when I open the RAW file in the editor, the image looks sort of corrupted.

I suppose the camera simply isn’t supported yet?

The reason is probably the lack of support for HE/HE* in libraw. The compression is probably patented and not free.

That makes sense. I overlooked the fact that I shoot using HE.
I think this will be tough to address.

Using Adobe DNG Converter, you can convert your HE encoded NEF files to HE decoded DNG files. Even if your system is Linux, you can use DNG Converter with Wine.
