OBS Packages not Up to Date

I’m trying to find DT 4.8 on the Open Build Service but it’s not there.

When I select “Latest darktable release” from install | darktable and look at the Fedora offerings, I see DT 4.6 packages for Rawhide and Fedora 38 and 39.

When I select “Master git branch” from install | darktable and look at the Fedora offerings, I see DT 4.7 for Rawhide and DT 4.9 for Fedora 38, 39 and 40.

Will the “Latest darktable release” get updated to really have the latest DT release for the latest Fedora release?

FYI, Germano pushed the updates to fedora rpm. You can test the build via:

sudo dnf upgrade --enablerepo=updates-testing --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2024-109598acb1

It looks like it will be pushed to stable in 4 days unless someone reports an issue.

Yes it will get updated, but the OBS is community driven. The two people that were previously working on pretty much all of the distros supported there have other priorities in life as well.

If you’d like to help out, that’d be awesome. If not, then please have some patients. Or use the appimage or flatpak.

I’m having trouble compiling from source so I may not be best to help out.

I’ll try it. Thanks.
