On exporting verticals with darktable

Hi all.

I am struggling to find a way so that when I export my images (which are both horizontal and vertical) the dimensions I set, let’s say, 1200X800, are conserved both in the horizontal and in the vertical ones.
But now, as it is, a vertical photo does not get exported as I expect, given that it gets exported with 535X800, rather than 1200X800.
In lightroom I remember you could assign a pixel value to the longest or shortest side, hence all images are exported with same dimensions.
Given this issue in darktable, it is a headache, because I have first to select all the horizontal ones, and then to the same with the vertical ones, switching the pixel values accordingly.
Any useful workaround? Something I am missing?

Many many thanks in advance.

What happens if you set your export size to 1200x1200?

Hey it works!!
Dunno how but it works… for both vertical and horizontal.

many thanks.

It works because you set the max size for height and width. You don’t expect dt to change the aspect ratio, right? So it just works
