On the approach to Schiehallion

Saturday was a cracking day, so we spent it going up one of our local Munros, Schiehallion. This was taken during a short rest.

A very beautiful image. I hope I have been suitably restrained in my treatment of it. RAW converted in Filmulator then modified in GIMP.

A very basic and quick edit. A nice shot and easy to process because of the good exposure. Thanks for the image to play with. I didn’t punch the colors up or over brighten the foreground as a matter of personal choice.

A second attempt lifting the contrast a little and brightening the image as well.
Note that on both of these images I have included the shadow highlights module as it seems to play nicely with this image. Not sure if the xmp file captures the real edit as I have not exported the image.

I focused more on the rocks as a leading line to the lake, as the left part of the image isn’t as interesting.
