Oostpoort/Eastern Gate, Delft.

Nikon Z6 II 85mm f/6.7 1/125s ISO 400

This is the Eastern Gate in Delft, early this morning (06:45) during a very short but nice sunrise. No time to set up a tripod and take things slow with the clouds coming in fast; So I had to settle for a handheld 4 shot mini panorama.

This is the only remaining gate of the 8 city gates that Delft used to have. It isn’t known how old it is (its core/predecessor) it was torn down in 1359 as punishment for losing a war and rebuild around 1400.

As in the border around the image, (parts of) the drawbridge or the (roof of the) houseboat?

The drawbridge.
