hi i downloaded for first time darktable 4.8.1 (not update).Windows 11.When i open raw image from sony zve10 in darkroom it crashes.I have search for an entire week to find solution i tried RawTherappe and it works with raw normal.
Thanks in advance !!

i tried my raw image on another computer (windows10)on the same version of darktable and the darktable worked just fine !! So it should be something with my computer !?

Better to share more info about your system in this case

Welcome

If you can generate a darktable log, then we might be able to point the cause. faq | darktable

You will need to start darktable from the cmd with a -d common flag.

Could be an OpenCL issue. Try starting darktable with --disable-opencl.

If that prevents the crash, it’d be worth upgrading video drivers and removing the Microsoft OpenCL compatibility kit (search this forum for Microsoft OpenCL compatibility, you’ll find some posts that describe how to do that).

Thanks i will check it !!

I agree with Kofa that it sounds like an openCL problem. If untick activate openCL and this lets the file open then you have identified the problem. Upgrading the drivers may resolve your problem allowing you to use openCL. Hopefully you resolve your issue.

Yes this was the problem!
What can i do now?
Should i keep it close?
Should i download drivers for gpu only or is it something more?
I have a drivers app says it is all ok for drivers maybe should do it manually?

I’m not sure why you deleted the log.

Go to the AMD website and download/install the AMD drivers. https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html

Updating the drivers may help. If not, see this thread: darktable does not open, please help! - #11 by joaotaveira

I thought it wasnt necessary since we find the problem.Sorry,if you need it i can reupload.
I have these drivers updated.
without opencl it works fine.

With the lastest drivers it still crashes?

Disabling OpenCL got you running, but you really want to be able to use OpenCL. If you have a proper GPU, it can give you a huge performance boost (over 5 times faster than without, potentially).

yes it still crashes i re upload the logs if you wanna check !!

i dont see a major difference in performance maybe little but nothing serious.I would like to get it better but i dont get what i should do !!
