OpenSuse and GIMP unstable version

I’m running Opensuse Tumbleweed. I’m hoping someone else on Pixls.Us is also using this distro of linux.
I have downloaded GIMPAppimage and this runs fine and it appears in the Application menu.

I also wanted to import the latest unstable version of GIMP from this repository; Index of /repositories/home:/mrbadguy:/gimp-unstable/openSUSE_Tumbleweed.

However, even though Opensuse confirmed GIMP downloaded and installed, this version of GIMP didn’t appear in the Application Menu. Anyway, I managed to get this version of GIMP running simply by typing GIMP into the Konsole terminal. Is there a way of adding this version of GIMP into the Application Menu so I don’t have to start from Konsole everytime?

This should do it: Development/Tutorials/Desktop File - KDE TechBase

Thanks Mica. To be honest those instructions are way beyond my capabilities. Coming from Windows I was hoping for a"right click mouse button" type instruction

You really need to just follow the part about making the desktop file.

Or you can poke around in ~/.configand move the gimp appimage .desktop file.

it has a desktop file. but it might not be called “gimp unstable” but just “gimp” in the menu.
