I went to the Singapore Botanic Gardens recently and saw some nice plants. Here’s one of them for you guys to play with.

Tried not to over do it while still shuffling a little bit the colors. I like the low contrast/soft aspect so I did not over corrected the DR or added too much local contrast.

Nice subject! Thanks for sharing!
Here’s a version using darktable, with a heavy crop that isolates the subject from a busy background, to focus on the flowers:
Here’s the uncropped version of the same edit, with some selective tone equalizers to de-emphasize the surroundings (especially on the lower half of the photo) and local contrast around the flowers (thanks to the diffuse or sharpen module)
I just finished an edit…now how do I upload in a non-downloadable format?
I’m still not familiar with how this forum works yet…
Upload your jpg… usually I do a std HD resolution at about 80 % quality in DT… And upload your xmp for the edit as well… if RT or ART the same… upload the export and the side car
Well, I may have gotten the image, but still haven’t gotten the EXIF data…I’ll look in to that some more, as I do plan to upload more photos soon enough.
OOf…can see the results of not having a calibrated monitor.
DT 4.4.2
Here’s my version. A slight crop to remove the bright sky and also to bring the orchids in focus. Have kept the foliage to bring a balance. worked with the dev version of DT
This zoomed version is my favourite.
Here is my version. I took the long route
A linear export
Then an experimental conversion to a negative using data from Kodak Vision50D
And finally a conversion using darktable and negadoctor
Still not perfect, but hopefully you will like the genuine analog colors.
