Pan image on MacOS ctrl-drag doesn't work?

I’m using Siril 1.2.0 (build 8653) and I cannot figure out how to pan the image.
I read in the FAQ that I should use ctrl-drag, but it still brings up the same green-dashed lie selection box that click-dragging does.

I’m trying to think if there’s something about my setup which is odd, but the only thing I can think of is that I have the caps-lock mapped to ctrl, also.

Hardware: 13" 2020 Macbook Pro (intel)
MacOS: Ventura 13.4.1 (c)

I’m using the built-in trackpad, but I also tried a cheapo USB mouse, and it behaves the same.
There are so many options for the trackpad, that I don’t really want to cycle through all of them, especially since I don’t know what they mean.

Hello,
on macOS this is not Ctrl but the command key.

Cool, yes, that works. Now if only the documentation or FAQ said this…

This is the usual macOS way of replacing ctrl with cmd.
