Pantone was a technical tool, unknown to anyone outside of the graphics/design/reproduction fields. Then marketing people heard of it and turned it into one of their fake-important irrelevancies.
I consider that irrelevant.

Although I like the color palette, it is not very suitable for hair, I would say.

Depends on, whose hair it is. I think I will colour my chest hair like that and it will definitely look fantastic.

Take your pantone swatch, and only use a hairdresser who can provide colour-controlled lighting. Go for it!
