@David_Tschumperle the Makefile has to be patched with every G’MIC release for inclusion in Gentoo. I don’t understand the necessity for all of the changes so I can’t judge, but nevertheless I do spend some time generating a new patch file with every release. Do you think you could take a look at the ebuild + patch and perhaps introduce some of the changes into your upstream Makefile if possible, or maybe suggest a better solution?
