Hello, I have been using RawTherapee for a short time and I have a problem, regularly when I open a photo it appears much darker and sometimes for no particular reason the photo returns to its normal colors. I tried different versions but the problem persists. Is there a way to fix this?

I assume this is the Auto Match Tone Curve feature, what is your hardware like?
What do you mean by hardware?
Your computer’s CPU, RAM, and hard drives.
My computer specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 3,20GHz
RAM: 16,0 Go ram
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 ti
Hard drive: HDD 465 Go
The screenshot shows RT 5.8. You should try the current 5.9 first, as this should be the base for troubleshooting.
Finally I managed to solve my problem by modifying a default image processing parameter in the preferences.
