Can anyone verify that this hasn’t been photoshopped?
I seriously doubt it. It has even been cited as NASA’s Picture of the Day.
“Zanarello was forced to make a composite because of the different exposure times needed for the Moon and the street scene in front of the famous Arc. … Zanarello was roughly 4,265 feet (1,300 meters) from the Arc de Triomphe and was using a Canon 100-400mm at a focal length of 520mm, which he achieved by using a 1.4x teleconverter.”
Seems plausible, actually.
Many moons ago (no pun intended), my old boss (who I hated) asked me if I could take some photos of the workplace for a presentation they were going to give.
I did as asked, and I also went the extra mile and edited into one of them (albiet very discretely) an extremely embarrassing photo of said boss that I candidly took on a drunken night out.
Apparently, it was a good twenty minutes before one of the potential investors squinted, stood up, took a few steps foward, squinted even more, and then burst out laughing (so hard, so I’ve been told, that a first-aider was called in).
Just as well I’d handed in my notice a week prior.
