PhotoTeleport 0.13 brings recursive upload of folders

Hi again
Today I released a new version of PhotoTeleport; besides a needed update to the Google Photos authentication flow (now, unfortunately, we are forced to use the system’s browser according to Google’s policies) this version supports drag and dropping entire folders into PhotoTeleport.

This change, apparently easy, required in fact a cascade of other deep changes, as I realized that performance when dropping a folder containing a thousand of photos was terrible. After several weeks of refactoring, I got to a point where I’m fully satisfied with the performance: the program can handle even tens of thousands of photos without keeping the user waiting for too long.

Let me remind, for the benefit of those who never heard about it, that Phototeleport is an open source, cross-platform (Linux, macOS and Windows) desktop application for uploading images to multiple websites at once.

You can read the release announcement here; the download link is also mentioned there.

Ciao,
Alberto
