pixls.us issues?

Anyone else having problems with the website? On desktop, both win and linux, I can’t use pixls.us, dots and spinning wheels wherever I go.

Trying to troubleshoot with different browsers but it seems to affect both Firefox and Chrome on win.

Mobile Firefox works over the same network Chrome seems slow…(Edit now mobile Chrome is fine) I find all of this very curious.

I’m in Stockholm Sweden

Works fine here in Australia … Linux Debian on Firefox

Vivaldi (Chromium) on Windows 11 and running completely fine.

This is all very strange, tested laptop (Debian testing) and it worked fine!

What on earth may cause my workstation to stall pixels.us in two different os in multiple browsers. I have no other network issues!?!

your mouse and keyboard need new batteries

No problems here.

I’ve had same issues for many days already. Barely can connect. On mobile and desktop, both firefox.

In finland btw

Maybe it’s something geographic then. They’ve decided us Nordics are better shut out of the site.

Unless @okke had chimed in I would have guessed it was my error somehow. Still suspect it is. With the servers I Helsinki we should be good!

Breen prodding around to see what’s going on, suspected my browser but it seems it’s not the cause. Disabled all add-ons etc. I’m very confused, it’s working on my laptop and my phone!

This is what inspector shows

If I leave it for a long time it eventually gives me that secure connection error which I’m guessing is just a connection error?

Well then, @nosle only has his own Nordic folk to blame :upside_down_face: have you cleared the cache?

I had a 503 message blaming Pat David! I got in another way and now the bookmark on my android phone works ok. This was about 10.30pm UK time.

503 isn’t wrong

On Chrome & Fedora opening the page 15 sec.

On Chrome & Android not opepned in minutes.

Location Helsinki.

See https://isitdns.com/

The weather isn’t nice tho

(I hope that’s what it says)

I’ve cleared the cache, but also tried browsers that never visited pixels.us such as edge on my work user (win11).

This morning I actually got the discuss index to load in Firefox win11 but then it then stalled for minutes before it opened the random thread I clicked. Then completely stalled.

It makes no sense to me considering the differing devices and browsers people are using.

I have not noticed any other networking or www issues. So far its pixls only. The pixls.us SLD is also problematic it’s not just Discourse.

Managed to open the homepage after a long wait, could even open the article index before completely stalling.

raw.pixls.us works fine!

Can you run traceroute and share the results?

traceroute to discuss.pixls.us (2a01:4f9:3080:3318::2), 30 hops max, 80 byte packets

just for a moment. add this to your /etc/hosts

65.108.31.59 pixls.us discuss.pixls.us

so that your system wont attempt using ipv6 for us. maybe hetzner and bahnhof have some ipv6 routing problems.
