Well I drove my Elise now more than 100.000 km and even so “Lots of trouble usually serious” sounds funny its massively exaggerated. Most of the trouble I had, was definitely not serious.
And to be honest the car is that stripped, that there isn’t much what can break. It’s more that with a lot of the trouble one have, you simply don’t understand what the engineers thought when they designed the car.
I had for example two times a broken gearshift cable and when you look at the construction you are astonished that it just broke two times in 100.000 km 
. Often there are third party spare parts which solve such problems permanently.
I know where it comes from, and I really like the old series. Anyway I wanted to shed some light for these who think, even so it is a lovely car I will not buy it cause it has break downs every now and than. I had only one real break down, that was when my cooler got a hole.
