Two of my former colleagues also drive Lotus Elise and another one (Exige?). They were constantly discussing epoxy resin, fibreglass fabric, zip ties and other important things you need for such a vehicle
If you need to discuss the first two things, it isn’t real fun and you had some impact.
Zip ties were used for fixing lose indicators when the nose of the bracket is broken (which probable hit any Elise MK2 owner in the past - proper English engineering ). Nowadays there is a 3D printed repair solution.
If you look at some parts of this car, you are not really astonished thst British car industry went down the drain. On the other hand, driving an Elise leaves you very puzzle about the BMW slogan “Freude am Fahren” how dare they to have this slogan.
