Play_raw grid preview screen

I have noticed over the last few months I have been using the forum that the Play Raw category has a grid preview enabled that makes it really easy to skim through pictures other user have created and locate the one you want to play with. But the grid preview features comes and goes and is replaced my a much a less ergonomic list view without any preview of images.

Is this accidental or intentional and is it something I can do on my end to enable it?

This is the, hopefully temporary, result of implementing the latest discourse version, which has an issue with how the images using the grid layout where shown on the Play Raw and Showcase sections.
