My editing - photoflow + GIMP-LAB

Tried to rectify the structures with a big Horizontal Perspective shift, some rotation in RawTherapee-dev, with lensatic distortion in GIMP 2-10. For color, stretching and tilting the spectrum for emphasis. Removal of purple haze.

I think that that the difficulty of the picture is managing the blues.
That’s the point I would like to see

Definitely true!

I did a second edit, this time using RawTherapee and spend a bit more time on the blue and turquoise. It is rather hard to do, though, not having been there.

water.and.rocks.pp3 (28.6 KB) RawTherapee 5.8 Development.

Think this one is the better of the two to be honest: A tad darker, bit more detail, slightly warmer and the blues are better balanced/separated.

@Lander_corleone I don’t have a good sense of the scale. What is the size of this feature?

@HIRAM Great take and crop.

@Lander_corleone Thank you for the photo. Do you know what the 3 brick pillars on the rocks are for?

@HIRAM

Could you explain how you do that on RT? The emphasis is real!

Mostly using the parametric curves in the L*a*b section:

Luminance by Hue:
1

Chromaticity by Hue:
2

Hue by Hue:
3

Chromaticity by Chromaticity:
4

Luminance by Chromaticity:

Ah!!! Thank you. I seldom uses those curves and it was far from this sophistication.
Is it something you adjust per photo or do you use the same parameters for all photo when you want this effect?

It’s definitely different every photo since each image will have various/different color bands needing adjustments.

Here it is the reason of the pillars:
