Haha, a good one.

Merci at the forumners sharing their processing and @Andrius for the fresh portrait, lovelly fox :fox_face:

le Gimp&Gmic moustache mariage fou

There are many things come to mind that could improve further the edit like a very soft low contrast vignette, smooth out the borders of the frame (so called fussion-fur teknique), clone out red tag, clone out all snow in face, clone out face… but that’s for another life. Guau!, I mean Cheers

@Andrius is Sasquatch?!

@Thomas_Do @chroma_ghost good thing I was wearing clothes :grin: I am not saying I always take pictures with no clothes on in winter but those reflections sometimes can show what should be hidden. Haha

Question for all of you who sees snow often, what is its real color ? White? Or Bluish white? Or grey ? I am talking about a fresh snow.

To my eyes, white. YMMV.

@Andrius, I liked the photo. However, I wish you had shot it with 24mm focal length (instead of 35mm) so that the ears of such a lovely pup would not have been chopped off.

I tried to keep snow pure white, eyes limpid (not too dark) and colors true (except for the red tab on neck as it added nice contrast). Here is my attempt:

I prefer to keep the cool temperature of the photo to give the sense that it was taken in a freezing air!

EDIT: I thought maybe fewer blue on the snow would be better:

@chroma_ghost what a classy color! I thought @Andrius had snow on his camera :wink: .

Nope that is how the camera looks out of the box :slight_smile:

Not by choice, I would prefer yellow or ulcer green… horse was a present, no teeth, no complains… truth is I like to leave the machine inside the car at noon in august and also dust is so much less visible; baby only needs bath like once a month :stuck_out_tongue:

@Andrius zzooo klean an d virgin… :see_no_evil: you zould trai zome komufklaggin’…

10-4 on that but seems like I only have very fast moving objects around me (little dogs and little kids). None of them give you any time to setup a perfect exposure :roll_eyes:

Just out of curiosity ran a dcraw extract into a couple AIs:

this last one is pretty good IMO; a pity that their online version (http://phancer.com) compresses so badly the stills
