Please meet my new model -- We have a winner!

Actually, I just contracted her because I wanted to
perform a few experiments with a small on-camera flash
— which was supposed to trigger a large, handheld flashgun.

X-T4, XF 50mm @ f/5.6, 2 flashguns

In case you wonder what on earth the image is depicting:
What about a guess?

First thought: Longan or Lychee fruit.

Perhaps a flower that was frozen and was thawing again? A hibiscus?

I think it’s a fruit stone after you ate the rest of it … maybe a nectarine or peach?

I give up. Seems to be frozen, but no idea what it is…

It’s clearly an eyeball turned inside out, Cronenberg style. Botched teleportation experiment?

Congratulations, @123sg!

Your guess was the best of them all.
It was a paraguayo, a.k.a UFO, or
Saturn Peach. Or rather that
was what was left after I had eaten it.

Here is a shot of the model before:

My second guess but I wanted 123sg to take the glory. Thanks for doing this once in a while.

Thank you, @afre

Actually what surprises me || makes me glad
is how much oompf can be produced in such
a minute “studio” as I have…

Hurray! I won, I won…
Seriously though, I’d never heard of a paraguayo before. Seems they don’t grow in Australia… I looked it up though… seems very peach-ish!
Thanks @Claes and @afre

It does grow in Australia and you can sporadically get it in the supermarket in season in Melbourne. It is a peach. See Peach Trees - Rayners “flat style peach”

Oh interesting! Thanks :grinning:
