plots of x and y for OSC and Bayer

Hi all, I like to look at the x/y movement plots of my stacked sequence to analyse my motorized tracking (no guidance) over a session.

I’m shooting OSC on a DSLR, and I’m wondering if the positions here are at the level of the bayer matrix or if it’s for the separate channels. i.e. if it plots 30 pixels of movement does that mean it’s actually 15 pixels in the combined colour image (I.e. 30 physical sensor pixels)… or that it really is 30 pixels and everything has been debayered already (I.e. 60 physical sensor pixels)?

Hello, registration is supposed to run on demosaiced images of the same size in pixels as the original, unless you used a narrow band filter extraction method. So 1 pixel on the graph is 1 pixel on the sensor. It’s better to run that on the green channel as it has a better resolution, but that’s the default.

Perfect, thank you. I run both RGB and dual narrow bands and trying out a few things on the mount and it was really hard to see what the data was but you’ve definitely cleared that up and I can analyse it properly now.
