I saw a neat trick (demo’d in PS) for making star trails from multiple exposures which involves opening the images as layers and blending in lighten only. This makes creating star trails quite simple and I can do it in GIMP but it’s tedious b/c I can’t seem to “select all Layers” and apply the blend mode to all of them.
Am I missing something simple? Otherwise, it’s really a pain to change the blend mode repetitively for each image in a stack of 70 or more images!
I’d probably use a gimp script to do this!
GIMP script or export ora, open Krita, select all layets, set to lighten, export ora, and import to GIMP
No, Gimp ist not able to select more than one layer. The developers known this. And I think even in PS this is a quiet new feature.
This might work, an old RobA ra-mode-settings.scm script from
Index of /incoming/scripts well down the list so here is the direct link

Works in Gimp 2.10 but sets the layers to legacy mode, which should not be a problem ( there is a plugin to change all layers back if required)

OK, great and thanks. Several options to try.
