As you can see from the picture I’ve got everything set up properly, I think? I tried it with maker set to Olympus and it still didn’t apply. What am I missing?

You don’t mention how exactly they fail, what it is you tried and at what point these presets where created.
One thing I do notice is that when you create a preset they are not automatically applied to images that are already imported. Discarding the history of those images will solve this problem (presets will be applied when opening the image).
Ah! This was the answer. I thought they would be applied when brought into the darkroom but they are applied on initial import.

The way it is implemented is the safest approach. You really don’t want to override previous made edits when you create a new automated style/preset…
